"Uptown Potpourri"
Artist Robert Seago's rendition of New Orleans landmarks captures the character and flavor of the "Big Easy." The historical lighthouse at the lakefront is still operable. The Hopkins-Israel House is one of the finest examples of Greek Revival Architecture in the Garden District. Formerly, it was the home of Dr. Ralph Hopkins, a renowned New Orleans physician who is remembered for his leprosy research. The St. Charles streetcar operates daily down St. Charles Avenue past its many stately mansions. A historical cemetery nestled in the heart of the Garden District, right across from Commander's famous restaurant will haunt you with its unique marble tombs and crypts.
